Brad and his wife left SEBTS to work at Crossroads Counseling in Augusta, Georgia. Then, in January 2011, they moved back to Raleigh-Durham, NC. Brad became the Pastor of Counseling at The Summit Church and also taught Biblical Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In 2012, they launched Bridgehaven Counseling Associates, a ministry to provide care for members of The Summit Church and the community.
