Biography

Pastor Sheryl Brady was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 17, 1960. Her childhood had many difficulties, including a brawl that led to her being detained by the police. She faced loss at a young age, with her father passing away from a heart attack, her sister from cancer, and their mother a few years ago.

At 15, Sheryl had to drop out of high school. Her life changed when she met Bishop T.D. Jakes, introduced by a friend. After attending one of his meetings, her life took a new turn.

Feeling unqualified and inadequate to preach, Sheryl had never been to a Bible college. However, in 1999, after moving to Durham, she became a preacher at The River Church. It was a new and challenging experience. Ten years later, Bishop T.D. Jakes asked her to be the pastor of the newly established Potter’s House in Texas. After prayer and feeling led by the spirit, she accepted the offer and became a pastor there in April 2010.

Family Life

Sheryl got married to Bishop Joby Brady at 17, and they’ve been married for more than 40 years. They have three daughters named Lana, Tina, and Nina. The family has nine grandchildren! Lana was born in 1978, and her twin sisters, Tina and Nina, came two years later in 1980.
