Philip Wagner was born in 1953 to Eddie Wagner and Betty Kurowski. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Vision Christian University and did his graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Oasis is recognized for its local and global outreach, especially to the impoverished, focusing on orphans and widows and funding clean water projects. The church is also known for its racial diversity, with no racial majority, according to Pastor Wagner.
Philip Wagner is not only a pastor but also a public speaker who has spoken in churches and seminars worldwide. As an author and blogger, he inspires people to live their best lives and discover and reach God’s purpose for their lives.
Oasis Church
Oasis Church recently moved to a new location on Wilshire Blvd, which is in a building built in 1926 and considered a Los Angeles historic landmark designed by architect Robert H. Orr. This building was recognized as Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #209 in 1979.
Back in 2010, the church had over three thousand members and is well-known for the diverse backgrounds of its members. Oasis Church sponsored the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Jesus Christ, unveiled in 1998, aiming to create a “Walk of Faith.” The star was placed in front of one of the church’s previous locations.
